Painted Border for Diocesan Pastoral Center, Phoenix

As part of a recent project to renovate and beautify the entryway of the Diocesan Pastoral Center in downtown Phoenix- including painting the space and adding new furniture- one aspect of the project was to add a decorative border along the circular soffit of the ceiling.
Though I was not actually part of this project at this point, I was brought on later to paint said border. I was given the design/pattern and exact colors, and, after only making slight adjustments in color placements, was tasked with painting it.
The border ended up totaling 58ft, including two 6ft decorative flourishes that flanked both sides of the archway above the entrance doors. The entire project of 70ft of painting took about 4 months to complete.

The installation took place on two different days, and watching it all be installed was definitely something... especially as parts of the canvas were being cut, razored off, or folded in all sorts of ways 😅
But then, after the installers finished, I was the one up on the ladder doing touch-ups so that everything looked seamless and clean when standing on the ground level.
After painting, staring at, and taking care of these rolls of canvas for months, it's crazy- but also relieving- to see it all up in the space it was made for (it also looks so small now from below!).

And so, that's that for this project. It was quite the endeavor, but I am very grateful to have gotten to work on this, and I hope it may beautify and bless the Diocesan entryway for many years to come! I also really appreciate all of you who prayed that everything would go smoothly with this project and the install- thank you :)
