Aveen Toma is a fine artist whose work attempts to exemplify the relationship between the human soul and what is Good, True, and Beautiful, by personifying various concepts of Christianity into visual illustrations.

Aveen was born on the Isle of Wight and grew up in South East England, and has had such an interest and inclination towards art for as long as she can remember- being creative not only in constantly drawing whatever was in front of her, but also in making handmade cards and writing her own children stories. She and her family moved to the U.S. when she was 10 years old, and her love of creating art has continued to grow exceedingly throughout the years.

Alongside her growth in art, she was also learning and understanding more about the Catholic faith she was brought up in. Throughout the years, she began to fall in love with the richness of the Faith and how much freedom, peace, and joy it brought her in her own life. As she began pursuing art, Aveen desired to bring art and Christianity together in a way she had not seen elsewhere, and so be able to present Christianity through a new perspective.

In addition to painting and drawing, Aveen also enjoys hand lettering, card making, and all sorts of crafts, and has recently been studying and creating sacred art. Above all, she loves deepening her knowledge of the Catholic faith- not only for her own sake, but so that she can better illustrate the beauty and wholeness of Christianity in her art. In this way, she becomes more capable of translating the invisible and conceptual into a conceivable reality- in ways that are approachable, unprecedented, and interesting.

She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts and Theology in 2020, and currently works and resides in Scottsdale, Arizona.
